Afternoon all,
A quick update ahead of the weekend.
Congratulations
Well done to Hornchurch who have managed to qualify the Regional Finals of the Vitality T20 cup after some fantastic wins against Potters Bar and Horsford last Sunday. The next round of the cup is on Bank Holiday Sunday.
They are not the only team with big games approaching, Brentwood has made it to the semi final of the Bertie Joel Cup, taking on Spencer from Surrey this Sunday.
Good luck to these teams for the remainder of the competitions.
HFEL Premier League Team beat EAPL at Chelmsford
Thanks to all the players and supporters who turned out at Chelmsford on Monday evening. After the EAPL beat the Women’s Essex League team in the first match the HFEL men’s team had a dramatic last-ball victory over the EAPL in the 2nd match. Chasing 193 to win, Benjamin Parry from Hutton swept the final ball of the match for 4. This followed some great performances notably from Omar Akram of Loughton who took 5 wickets and scored a 50.
Thanks to all involved for organising and we hope to have more opportunities like this again in the future.
