Quick update,
Overs Games
A reminder that all league games for the rest of the season are now back to overs games. 45 overs for 1st XI and 40 overs for all other games.
1st and 2nd XI captains should make sure that they have access to the Play Cricket Scorer Duckworth Lewis Calculator if needed for inclement weather.
1st XIs please make sure to have the correct playing clothing and colour of ball.

1st XI Matches - Light
With Overs games being played at the end of the season it could mean that sunset gets very close to the end of games.
We are confident that games will finish before sunset as we have reduced overs (45 overs instead of 50) and sanitisation breaks are no longer mandatory.
Please can all captains work with umpires and make sure to get overs bowled at a good pace.
Rule 15
Reminder that Rule 15 comes into effect this week - thanks to all those who got in touch. Please continue to put requests in before Wednesdays at 2pm for remaining weeks.
15. a. No member club shall, without the sanction of the Executive Committee made by 2.00 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the date of a match, play any player in such match in any of the divisions of the 2nd XI, 3rd XI or 4th XI Leagues during the last four matches of any season of the Essex League who has played during that season in 9 or more matches for any member club or clubs in any of the divisions of a higher League.
