Hi all, as promised (if not a little late) some reminders that should be useful to all captain - and include 2025 season changes agreed at the AGM.
Helpful reminders
1 Matches start at 12.30pm in all divisions tomorrow.
2 All matches are overs matches - reminder that all 4th XI Divisions (Div 14 and Below) will only play overs matches in the 2025 season. All other divisions will have the same overs and time split as usual.
3 All 1st XIs will use pink ball in the overs matches - all other matches will use red.
4 In overs matches 1st XI Premier Div teams must wear coloured clothing, all other 1st XIs have the choice to wear coloured clothing, all other fixtures should be in whites. Time matches should all be played in whites.
5 Notification of results - 1st XIs result by 9pm Saturday evening, full scorecard by Sunday 8pm.
All other matches must have results up by Sunday 8pm.
Generic Rule 18 outlines all the different deadlines for result and scorecards - please get them done as soon as possible after a match.
6 Teas to be provided at 1st and 2nd XI matches by home teams. At all other matches there is no need to provide teas, but clubs can communicate and organise teas if both parties agree.

Changes to the Rules following the AGM
1 Non-1st XI - non-playing umpires rules have been clarified - non-playing umpires should be introduced to captains before a match and preferably at the toss. Clubs cannot refuse an umpire introduced before the match.
2 Any issues with non-playing umpires should be reported to the league so that evidence can be stored and potential actions taken.
3 1st XI Slow over rate moved to 2 and a half hours in time matches.
4 Ground standards - all captains should be aware of the requirements as hosts and the requirements expected as visitors. Please report any issues. Communicate clearly with captains. See the ground standards matrix on the site for details.
5 All matches in 4th XI Premier Divisions and below (Div 14 and below) will play limited overs matches in every fixture - no time matches.
6 1st XIs DIv 1 and below - all overs matches will use a pink ball. All clubs can wear coloured clothing or whites in overs matches. 1st XI Prem clubs must wear coloured clothing
7 1st XI - complete scorecards must be uploaded by Sunday 8pm
8 10 matches needed before Rule 15 clearance for final 4 matches of the season required.
9 1st XI Div 4 umpires - new recruits mean we can help organise umpires for these matches - expenses to be paid of £55 per match on the day of the fixture.
