Morning all,
Hope everyone is doing well and you are enjoying the season. Please see below an update and some reminders.
TIME GAMES
Time games begin this Saturday in all divisions - and for all matches in all divisions they last for the next 9 weeks.
Rules and regulations for all divisions can be found at this link https://www.essexcricket.com/pages/page_34628/Rules-and-Regulations.aspx
Don’t forget the match clock!
BALLS
The second batch of balls have started to be sent out in the last week. If you need to pick up balls from the Morrant Shop then please pop down and pick up your allocation.
Give them a ring on 020 8530 5307 before journeying down.
OVERSEAS PLAYER ISSUES
We have had to hand out substantial point deductions to some clubs who have failed to register overseas players correctly. The issues in particular involve players who are classed as professionals entering the country on standard visitor or skilled worker visas. These visas do not allow these players to play cricket.
If there are any worries about any other players do get in touch - the more games ineligible players play the greater the penalty becomes.
CLUBMARK
Another reminder that all clubs must have their Clubmark up to date and be Safe Hands compliant by the end of June.
Failure to do this will again result in a penalty and could impact a club’s position in the league.
CONGRATULATIONS
On a lighter note - well done to the 4 sides that qualified for T20 finals day - Brentwood, Buckhurst Hill, Chelmsford and Hornchurch. And thank you to all the host clubs who helped get the group final days organised so well.
While our first monthly winners of the batter and bowler of the month sponsored by Shepherd Neame have been announced.
May Winners
Bowler - Andrew Ovel Springfield 1st XI 13 wickets (better average than others on 13)
Batter - Kishen Patel Chingford 2nd 399 runs
Any issues or questions about any of the above please get in touch.
Regards
