The full league season is due to start tomorrow - the weather looks particularly dodgy - please make sure to talk to your opposition and make sure all Covid regulations are in place and adhered to.
Covid Cases - Continue to Act appropriately
Following the games last weekend we did have a positive test from a player who took part in a fixture. I would like to thank both the club who the player is a member of and also their opposition for acting quickly and following guidelines.
All clubs need to continue to follow the Covid protocols this includes:
Not playing any indoor cricket
Sanitize every 6 overs
No use of indoor changing facilities or indoor hospitality
No car sharing
These rules are hopefully going to change in the near future - please make sure that all members realise this is Government and ECB rules - not at league or county level.
We have had to unfortunately deduct points from several clubs due to administrative errors. A reminder that scores and scorecards need to be uploaded onto play cricket and results confirmed.
Please make sure to add any player nominations on Play Cricket as quickly as possible.
Overseas players cannot play until they have been registered.
It has been good to hear that balls and stumps have been being received by clubs.
The final deliveries will be made today.
There will be a further ball delivery in the coming weeks for the final balls. Thank you for all your help and patience - at this strange time the logistical issues have been tricky to overcome.
Each league XI should bring one ball to each game, whether home or away, from this week and for the rest of the season.
Reminder on Game Regulations
All teams will be playing overs games this week - 45 overs per innings for 1st XI and 40 overs for all other teams.
The weather forecast is not looking positive at the moment. Please can all 1st and 2nd XIs make sure they have Play Cricket Scorer downloaded onto a device and captains take a moment to look how to use the Duckworth Lewis Calculator.
I hope the weather forecasters have it wrong and we are able to have some cricket played tomorrow.
Any questions let me know.
