Many of you may have seen the advice sent out from the ECB (attached to this email) about being able to use outside practice nets again.
This is obviously an exciting time that our clubs may be able to offer their members cricket again.
I wanted to write to make sure that before opening your nets that all clubs take the proper precautions and put planning in place.
Please make sure to read the attached documents and act on the advice given. This is the first step on the path to us hopefully still being able to get part of a season in this year, so let's act responsibly and appropriately.
Webinar On Nets Re Opening
As we all digest the documents, Essex Cricket will be running a Webinar on Thursday 21st June at 5pm to help clubs with opening up their nets. Check out https://www.essexcricket.org.uk/ for further details on the webinar and other update.
Alternative Cricket Tea
Essex Cricket are delighted that they will be organising The Alternative Tea at the CloudFM Essex County Ground this Saturday and we are also very keen to support any club that wishes to arrange a food bank collection site at their own club, you can find details of the foodbank at the CloudFM County Ground as well as details (via a wetransfer link) on how your club can organise one at your own club.
For any clubs that can help whether this weekend or in the future do go to that link and try to help your community.
There is another ECB Premier Leagues Meeting, an Adult Participation Group meeting and also a SNEL exec so hopefully more good news and advice can follow.
As ever if any questions let me know.
