Details of SNEL Clubs Mid-season Fora and Update on League Restructuring

20 Jun 2019

Dear League Delegate,

Please find below dates of the mid-season review meetings. An attempt has been made to regionalise the meetings for simplicity of travel, but if the venue or date is difficult for you, then you are welcome to attend any of the others you only have to attend one of the meetings. All I would ask is that you let me know if you intend changing.

There is a key discussion on the future league restructuring of the SNEL. We attach a one pager which aims to explain the proposal which has been developed based on feedback from SNEL clubs, the other leagues within Essex and ECiC. We also attach a draft new constitution (A tracked change version and a clean version) that will incorporate these changes provided we get positive feedback from clubs. We have also simplified the constitution to bring it up to current state. Please ensure your committees review these documents and come armed with any feedback or questions to these meetings to ensure the final proposal / constitution that goes before clubs later this year has the best chance of acceptance.

It is imperative that your club is represented at one of these meetings. Ideally this should be the league delegate or other committee member along with any captains that would like to attend.

There will be a fine of £100 for non-attendance.

These meetings are your opportunity to discuss any relevant issues, however we have offered a simple basic agenda to start things off:-

  1. Future league structure discussions – see attached papers
  2. Playing regulations
  3. Participation levels
  4. Playing Facilities
  5. Administration
  6. Discipline
  7. AOB that clubs wish to raise.

Best wishes

Cliff Greenhill

Hon Secretary.
