RESULT REPORTING ON PLAY-CRICKET
CLUB LEAGUE DELEGATES TO CONFIRM BY RETURN EMAIL AS STATED AT THE END OF THE MESSAGE
It is important that clubs show all rain interruptions in the play-cricket results comments column
If this is not done the scorecard will be considered incomplete and points deducted
It is impossible to check the points have been claimed correctly unless this information is provided
Premier 1st XIs
The appropriate regulations are on pages 184 to 187
Other 1st xis and all lower xis
The appropriate regulations are on page 190
There are restrictions in the number of overs the team batting first can bat and still retain their batting points when there are weather interruptions
Note from Tom Kilby to Umpires
Following an Executive Meeting of the SNEL committee last evening I have been asked to clarify some points for Umpires.
For those umpires standing in Divisions 1, 2 and 3 the last hour appears to have caused some confusion. I am asked to point out that the last hour should start at 6.10 pm, or immediately following a drinks break after that time. Therefore if drinks are taken and you are ready to call the last hour at, say 6.14 pm then play will continue, provided a result is not reached earlier, until 20 overs have been bowled or 7.14 pm, whichever is the latter. In the event of play being interrupted, in the last hour, the number of overs to be bowled shall be reduced at the rate of one over for every three minutes lost.
(See page 189 of the handbook C 1 b & c)
These regulations apply in all time games (all Divisions not only 1st XIs) except 1st XI Premier. Captains of all XIs should be aware of the arrangements for the Last Hour.
