We lost a player due to injury during our innings, and Gidea  Park were happy to give us a sub fielder for the remainder of the innings. Many clubs would not have done this.

Game was played in exactly the right spirit, which can only be done by a good captain and team, and Basildon 4th XI were exactly that. A really good game played in entirely the right spirit.
Excellent job done by the tea lady. Was very glad to be batting second. Although we didn't polish off the runs, we certainly did our best to polish off the teas....
