Terms and Conditions

1. This competition applies only to runs scored by a batsman in a 1st XI SNEL match as confirmed on the play-cricket website.
 

2. This competition is not open to overseas players, overseas-exempt players and contracted players as defined in the SNEL rules.
 
3. The first batsman to reach 500 runs wins a PiriPiri Naga Jolokia Pro.
 
4. In the event of two or more batsman reaching 500 runs in the same round of league matches the winner will be decided as follows:-
    a) The winner will be the batsman with the least number of completed innings.
    b) If this is equal the winner will be the batsman who has scored the most centuries.
    c) If this is equal the winner will be the batsman who has scored the most fifties.
    d) If this is equal the winner will be the batsman with the highest total of league 1st XI runs after the round in which 500 runs was reached.

2010 Winner
Despite late surges from Irfan Shah (199) and Alan Ison (133), Julian Russell scored the required 11 runs he needed to edge over 500 for the season to become the inaugural winner of the Piri Piri Race to 500. He will be presented with a new Piri Piri bat shortly and photos will appear on this website. Full details of the leading 8 contenders are below.
