WANSTED C.C. WIN THE EVENING STANDARD CHALLENGE TROPHY

Wanstead won the 2001 Evening Standard Challenge Trophy at the Oval on Sunday 9th Septmber - the first Essex side to do so.
Wanstead restricted Bexley C.C. to 204 for 8 in their 50 overs
Wanstead replied with 208 for 6
Thanks to a superb 121 Not Out from Alex Richards, we won by 4 wickets with 3 overs to spare.
Congratulations from the League Executive Committee and all Member Clubs.

Wanstead's Under 15's also became National Champions two weeks ago.
